About Sgt. Nate Griffin

The ability to produce fitness results and motivate you to better yourself doesn’t come overnight. Professional Touch Fitness founder Sgt Nate Griffin has perfected his craft over the course of 20 years of personal training and group fitness.

“Sarge’s” dedication to fitness and healthy living started as a U.S. army Sergeant where he learned the importance of fitness and how to achieve it. In short, what he learned was the importance of working hard to achieve fitness goals.

Sgt Nate also learned that comradery was an important method for motivating people to work harder. The result was the beginning of Professional Touch Fitness. As a group fitness instructor and personal trainer, Sgt Nate was able to offer each new junior ranger a style of training that was best fit to motivate them to reach their fitness goals.

Amongst this accomplishments throughout his career as a fitness professional are:

  • AAAI/ISSA Certifications as a personal trainer, group fitness instructor, as well as in pre & post-natal fitness, older adult fitness, weight management, sports nutrition, and T’ai- Ch
  • Graduate of The Academy of Health Science, Ft. San Antonio, TX as a Medical Specialist
  • Graduate of The I.C.S., Scranton, PA as a Health, Fitness and Certified Nutrition Specialist
  • Graduate of The NCO Academy, Ft. Indiantown Gap, PA as a Non-Commissioned Officer
  • Former Healthcare Specialist in Phlebotomy, Electrocardiogram, Telemetry, and Hemo-dialysis
  • In October 2009, Sgt. Nate in his first body building competition, placing first for 50+ and 5th for 40+ in the OCB Tri-State Classic in Dover, DE.
  • In March 2011, Sgt. Nate with the Ranger Training Workout System won the “Most Athletic” workout award at the fourth annual PhillyFit Magazine’s Workout-a-thon.
  • In July 2011, Sgt. Nate completed The Merrell Down & Dirty 10K Mud Run in Philadelphia.

When Sgt. Nate is not teaching classes or training clients, he also conducts workshops and lectures on health and wellness. Some of his clients have been, FMC Bio Polymer, Burns Engineering, Lady Fitness, ZETA PHI BETA, and The CFC Learning Center.
